The Unit Plan Assignment - Improved
We have been writing unit plans in EDC 430 since I arrived in 2007. Each year, there are some good ones and many more impractical ones. The assignment is a lot of stress for the students as well as the instructor. This year, we're going to try something different. Instead of everyone writing their own unit plan, we will have the option of collaborating on a unit plan that is better and more usable.
The parts of a unit plan do not change. Those are listed above.
The Process
Step 1: Decide on some possible topics.
Step 2: Unpack the necessary GSEs
Step 3: High level planning
Step 4: Detailed lesson plans and Instructional Materials - Divide and Conquer
